Adam Carnes is a Brooklyn based artist who received his MFA from the New York Academy of Art and BFA from the Ringling College of Art and Design. His large scale paintings, Chunkism, have been traveling the United States confronting the public. These totems have often incited self-reflection, alluding to Golem, fertility, Mother Earth, mortality, Eros and Thanatos. You can find his published work in the The Figure, which was featured in Hyperallergic and is being sold in museum book stores such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art and Royal Academy.
