Join us for a one-day-only free screening of Black Barbie: A Documentary, followed by a post-film Q&A with filmmaker Lagueria Davis. This special event is sponsored by: Tulsa Artist Fellowship, Netflix, and the Center for Queer Prairie Studies.
Following the screening, representatives from Black Queer Tulsa, the Center for Queer Prairie Studies, and Tulsa Artist Fellowship will lead a conversation with Lagueria Davis, offering insights into the film and its cultural impact.
This screening is part of Barbie’s Birthday Weekend at Circle Cinema! In collaboration with the Vintage Barbie Museum and Studio 66, enjoy a special lobby display featuring iconic dolls, outfits, and accessories spanning Barbie’s evolution from 1959 to today. The celebration concludes on Sunday, March 9, with special screenings of Barbie in honor of her 66th birthday.

Tulsa Artist Fellowship - Studios at 109 MLK Jr Blvd E. Tulsa, OK 74103 accommodates wheelchairs and strollers. Variable seating is provided in addition to areas for distanced standing. Family-scale private washrooms are available to support visitors with disabilities and caregivers who need access to increased square footage and changing tables. The elevator at Archer Studios is located at the main west entrance on Martin Luther King Blvd. Street-side parking is available at both buildings using the Park Mobile App and is free after 5 pm and all day Saturday-Sunday.
