Tulsa Artist Fellowship will present solo project, "Emancipatory Lands," featuring awardee Miguel Braceli at the Untitled Art Fair in Miami Beach from December 4-8. The 2024 edition, Untitled Art's largest to date, features exhibitors and focuses on the theme “East Meets West,” emphasizing global diversity and representation.
Braceli’s "Emancipatory Lands" explores reimagining political identities through large-scale, participatory projects that transform geopolitical symbols into communal structures rooted in nature, aiming for a more inclusive and emancipatory approach to global politics.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Miguel Braceli is a Venezuelan-born—New York-based artist, architect, and educator. His practice is focused on participatory art projects in public space; working at the intersection of art, architecture, and social practices; exploring geopolitical and local conflicts. Most of these projects have been large-scale works developed in Latin America, Europe, and the United States; exhibited in galleries and institutions through photography, sculpture and film. He has led educational projects with institutions such as Documenta Fifteen, The Bronx Museum of Arts, The MUAC-UNAM with Hemispheric Institute NY, Washington Projects for the Arts, Matadero Madrid, among others.
He has participated in residencies and programs such as Skowhegan School of Painting (2022), AIM Bronx Museum Fellow (2022), Art Omi (2021), McColl Center for Art (2020). His most recent Fulbright Scholar (2020-2019), Future Architecture Fellow (2019), and Young Artist Award of the Principality of Asturias (2018). In 2021 He founded LA ESCUELA___ together with the non-profit Siemens Stiftung International, an art platform about art and education of Latin American practices. In 2022 he received a commission from the Percent for Art program for a permanent large-scale public artwork in New York City.
