ABOUT FIRST FRIDAYS

Since its inaugural year in 2016, Tulsa Artist Fellowship has hosted First Fridays, a free monthly series highlighting our awardees, alum-in-residence, and Tulsa community members. Discover artistic workspaces, exhibitions, workshops, live music, and food throughout our studios, roof terrace, and galleries. First Fridays are free and open to all. Come for the art, stay for the community.

Flagship | 112 N Boston Ave.

Space For Us and Tulsa Artist Fellowship present Earthbound, a dark sky exhibition on view at Flagship through December 7, 2024. Through the artistic lens, explore how creative expression and imagination fuel science. Participants include Mattaniah Aytenfsu, Dr. Sian Proctor, Tyler Thrasher, and Marlena Myles (Spirit Lake Dakota/Mohegan/Muscogee). Spearheaded by visionary Tulsa Artist Fellowship arts worker Cheyenne Smith, founder of Space for Us, this exhibition explores humanity’s profound connection to the cosmos.

This exhibition was made possible by the generous support of the Tulsa Artist Fellowship and the George Kaiser Family Foundation. Special thanks to Warguts Esports, Tulsa City-County Library, International Dark Sky Association, McDonald Observatory, Big Bend Conservation Alliance, and Vita Bona (Jordan McNear).
