Join us on Wednesday, December 6 at 2 pm CT for a multilingual conversation and reading with Zoque poet Mikeas Sánchez and translators Wendy Call and Shook, the creative team behind How to be a Good Savage and Other Poems, forthcoming in January 2024 from Milkweed Editions’ Seedbank series. We’ll hear trilingual poems from the collection and discuss the multiple layers of this groundbreaking translation and the global resonance of contemporary Zoque poetry.
LALTulsa is a reading and conversation series with the translators and authors who bring Latin American literature to life in English, hosted by Arthur Malcolm Dixon, Tulsa Artist Fellow and Managing Editor of Latin American Literature Today.
