SAMANTHA WOJ IN STUDIO 103

SUNDAY, MARCH 7, 2025 | 6:00 PM - 9: 00 PM
Tulsa Artist Fellowship Studios
109 MLK Jr. Blvd., Tulsa, OK

Visiting artist Samantha Woj is Canada-based and often paints live, making marks with sports equipment. Samantha will be in Tulsa for two exciting projects with GKFF and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She will also be joining us for March 7 First Friday open studios activities at Tulsa Artist Fellowship.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Samantha Woj is a physically disabled Canadian visual artist whose work merges sports and art. Born with Ectrodactyly, she explores movement through acrylic paintings on paper, cardboard, and canvas, using sports equipment to create imprints that capture athletic motion and emotion. She holds an MA in Creative Art Therapies (2021) and a BFA from Concordia University (2019). Her live painting collaborations include NFL Canada, the Paralympic Games, Golf Canada, CF Montreal, the PWHL, and the Oklahoma City Thunder, raising significant funds for various causes. In 2024, she created murals and live paintings at major events like the RBC Canadian Open and BMO Women's Soccer Week, as well as six paintings for the Ottawa Senators' Throwback Thursday Games.
