Tulsa Artist Fellowship welcomes community members for the First Friday on July 7! Awardees are activating the Arts District with the exhibition opening of Beyond the Whitewash at Living Arts, Liz Blood's reading series Seven Minutes In Heaven within sunodos: act of attention at Flagship, Studio 101 installation and celebration, open studios, and more.

SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN
Join us for a special edition of Seven Minutes in Heaven, a reading series of short prose organized by Liz Blood. Nested within the art exhibition sunodos: act of attention, readings will uniquely relate to nature. Featuring Oklahoma Book Award winners Rilla Askew and Ken Hada, Chelsea T. Hicks, and Exquisite Williams, each author will present a complete story in seven minutes. One wild card reader will be chosen from the crowd—it could be you! Bring your seven-minute-or-less story to the event. The event begins at 6:30 pm at Flagship. This event will have ASL interpreters.

BEYOND THE WHITEWASH
Organized by Shelby Head, the new exhibition Beyond the Whitewash opens at Living Arts and will remain on view through July 21. A multi-racial group of  Oklahoma-based artists and art workers made sound and visual artworks to explore the legacy and implications of white supremacy, privilege, and silence in North America. Participants include M. Florine Démosthène, Marlon Hall, Shelly Head, Bobby Martin, Phetote Mshairi, Joel Daniel Phillips, Welana Quetoh, Warren Realrider, and Nathan Young. Beyond the Whitewash is supported by the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, OVAC Thrive Grant Program in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Living Arts of Tulsa, the National Endowments for the Arts, and Artist's Resource Trust.

STUDIO 101
Archer Studios will feature the workspaces of Tulsa Artist Fellowship awardees. Community project space Studio 101 is reimagined with SHARED, an immersive film installation directed by awardee Kyle Bell with portraits by Brittany Bendabout, curated by Brandon "Pade" Wade, and featuring ethnographic poet Kode Ransom, exploring the shared past, present, and future of Native and Black Cultures in Tulsa. From 8-10 pm, SOIL returns led by social sculpting collective Sharpside with a living environment by Erin Danyelle and sounds by DJ KYLIE and ROBMILES.

Heirloom Rustic Ales will be pouring refreshing brews at Flagship & Studio 101 throughout the night!
