STAR PARTY WITH SPACE FOR US

Astronomical star parties are gatherings where seasoned space enthusiasts or wide-eyed beginners come together to observe celestial objects such as stars, planets, and galaxies. Space For Us will provide shared telescopes, but participants with telescopes are encouraged to bring them out and share their knowledge, fostering a communal atmosphere for stargazing and astronomical appreciation. ​​Star parties are more than just stargazing; they can be transformative experiences that ignite a cosmic perspective within every participant. This cosmic perspective is a profound overview of our place in the vast expanse of the universe.

Tulsa Artist Fellowship is pleased to present 𐓏𐒰𐒿𐒷́𐓒𐒷 (Markings): 𐓏𐒰𐓓𐒰́𐓓𐒷 𐒻́𐒷 poetic forms, on view June 25 through August 10, featuring works by Osage artists meditating upon Waleze, or the 𐓏𐒰𐓓𐒰́𐓓𐒷 𐒻́𐒷 word for the written Osage language—as well as the word used to refer to photos, designs, patterns, books, and all markings. This multidisciplinary show of 𐓏𐒰𐒿𐒷́𐓒𐒷 (Markings) promotes co-creation in and around the Osage language, 𐓏𐒰𐓓𐒰́𐓓𐒷 𐒻́𐒷.

Spend next Tuesday night downtown at Tulsa Artist Fellowship for an evening of experimental sound works presented by musicians and artists arcing from Northeast Oklahoma through North Texas to the East Rockies. Asku and Foxy Digitalis present Kory Reeder, Ryan Seward, and Andrew Weathers with Tulsa-based Brad Rose / Warren Realrider and Hayley Nichols on May 21 at Flagship. Doors open at 6:30 pm, followed by performances beginning at 7:00 pm.

In conjunction with the Bruce Goff Center for the Continuous Present and the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, awardee Karl Jones curates ‘Lego-cites of The Mayo Hotel’ for the Archer Studio building entry gallery. The newest Lego construction by Lego Build OK of Tulsa’s most famous hotel by artist Wyatt Dunham is displayed with artworks by local artists alongside archival objects from The Mayo Hotel collection.

This group installation brings together three interdisciplinary artists repurposing, transforming, and liberating materials that define our present. “Current” was organized by Tulsa Artist Fellowship Executive and Artistic Director, Carolyn Sickles.

Downtown Tulsa is alive! And so is Bruce Goff… Watch his world come to life in a stunning exhibition of archival material, photography, video, and art from the world of Bruce Goff. Organized by the Goff Center of the Continuous Present (GCCP) and curators Lindsay Aveilhé and Britni Harris, Bruce Goff: The Art of the Continuous Present celebrates the breadth of Goff’s work and influence in architecture and art.
